Mayor’s 50 Campaign
The Mayor’s Fifty is a campaign to identify fifty businesses to partner with the City of Grand Rapids to provide meaningful jobs for young people, ages 15-21. These are businesses who have agreed to help young men and women in Grand Rapids become part of the local economic mainstream by providing valuable work experience and in return, receiving valuable worker contribution to the
bottom line at half the cost!
The City of Grand Rapids and businesses would share 50/50 the cost of employing a young personfor up to 10 hours per week for six months. The City’s financial contribution is based on a job assignment that pays $8.50 per hour (including withholdings) for a maximum of 10 hours per week.
