To College, Through College Initiative
To increase post-secondary success for all persons, particularly first generation college students and persons of color, and thereby increase the educational attainment and talent pool for the
city and region.
To increase post-secondary credentials, Associates and Bachelor’s degrees through a collective and aligned community response beginning with the 2013 and 2014 graduating classes of the
Grand Rapids Public Schools (GRPS).
To increase degree attainment from 18% to 40% of GRPS 2013 and 2014 graduates with a sub-goal of increasing persistence rates for students of color.
Who are we? A collaboration of dedicated community members from government, business, community-based organizations, and higher education.
